Make a splash this summer at Middlemoor Water Park!
Middlemoor Water Park is a purpose-built 20-acre lake just 20 minutes away from Lakeside. Created in 1989, the Park focuses on providing the best in water-ski, wakeboard, and karting enjoyment there is to offer for all ages and abilities.
Imagine speeding through the water in the heart of the historic Somerset levels surrounded by the tranquility of gorgeous rural settings.
Middlemoor is fully equipped and ready to accommodate everyone from beginners to the most skilled water sport enthusiast. There’s even a 6-buoy slalom course for the more daring and adventurous amongst you, however – you are not on your own if you just want to learn how to safely water-ski or wakeboard. Middlemoor has highly-experienced B.W.S.F qualified instructors who can offer tuition whatever your ability.
Everything is provided, including wet suits and safety equipment as part of the cost, so you don’t need to worry about anything other than showing up for a day of fun, however if you decide that you really love water sports, you can buy wet and dry suits onsite.
The Water Park boasts a fully licensed Clubhouse overlooking the lake, which offers a varied menu of great food to replenish your energy stores after a few hours on the water. There is even a barbecue area next to the Clubhouse which is perfect for summer afternoons and evenings.
The Park has a designated Mastercraft Wakeboard boat, complete with Monster Tower and Ballast to create an experience you certainly won’t forget. It also features a 40-foot slider! For the children, Middlemoor Water Park has aquatic fun rides as well as trips across the lake in one of our speedboats.
The fun doesn’t stop on the lake however, Middlemoor’s “open-air” Pro-Karting area provides single engine karts perfect for beginners, as well as new youth Karts for Kids. (Hint: for adults who want to experience karting but prefer a slightly less challenging experience, the Karts for Kids are great.)
What would a water park be without swimming? Our Swim School has a Mums and Toddlers session (with a maximum of 6 children per session), which is fun and designed to build water confidence whilst teaching basic skills with songs and games in the water. The School also offers Non-swimmer & Beginner classes for children 4 to 7 years old. They follow the new Stanley Water safety programme for young children by the STA.
The Water Park is open weekdays from 10am to 6pm. On Saturdays, it’s open for waterskiing only between 9am and 1pm, and for jet skiing from 1pm to 6pm. On Sunday, it is open for members only from 9am to 1pm, but is open again to the public from 1pm to 2pm for waterskiing, and jet skiing from 2pm until 5pm.
Waterskiing and wakeboarding lessons (which last about 15 minutes) are £20 per session. Go Karting is £10 per person for 20 laps and individual season passes are available for the truly committed for £375. Family season passes are £500.
