Food and Drink Festivals in South Devon

There’s nothing quite like a nice pint of ale or a good burger on a warm summer day – which is why you simply can’t miss some of the great food and beer festivals taking place in South Devon this summer! What are you waiting for? Get your sunglasses and sunscreen and drink deep of some great events this summer season.

Summer Moon Festival

Located in the small village of Kingskerswell, the Summer Moon Festival is a time for beer, wine and having fun with family and friends. The festival offers a wide range of local food and drinks from the town’s chefs and brewers. With great bands and musicians playing all afternoon and evening and all profits benefiting local charities.

“Night at the Proms” kick starts the festivals on Friday 21st June performed by the Torbay Symphony Orchestra. This fantastic festival offers three nights of local food, drinks and music with the final night of this festival taking place on Sunday 23rd June.

Nello’s Longest Table and Topsham Food Festival

Anyone a fan of hot and spicy food? If yes, then this is the perfect festival for you! A “fire and spice” festival comes to Exeter this summer. Taking place on 30th June, there’s plenty to dig your teeth into. Take part in the hot and spicy chilli eating competition and put your taste buds to the test. If that sounds like too much work then you can just munch away at some delicious street food made by local chefs, or have a refreshing drink at the outdoor bar if the chillis are getting too hot!

Live music will be playing as you dance away into the night, so make sure you bring your dancing shoes! Nello’s longest table returns for a fifth year, 350 tables set up in a line for you, your friends and 2,000 people to sit down as one big foodie family and enjoy some fantastic street cuisine. The organisers would love to see you there, so grab your sunglasses, hats and cartons of milk; it’s going to be a hot one!

Kingsbeer Festival

Treat yourself to an ice cold beer this summer at the Kingsbeer Festival. Delicious BBQs, drinks and fantastic live music. Located just under 5 miles from Galmpton Touring Park, Kingsbeer Festival offers an idyllic panoramic view of the River Dart to enjoy whilst sampling some of the best local produce.

The Kingsbeer Festival is sponsored by local beer makers Red Rock Brewery, whose headquarters can be found in the countryside of Devon – you just know there’s going to be some brilliant beers on offer!

Taking place between the 13th and 15th July, make sure you don’t miss what is considered the most beautifully located beer festival in the UK!

What’s better than a cold beer in the British sun? Not having to travel that far to get it! Galmpton Touring Park is located less than twenty miles from all of these events, making the wide open spaces and beautiful river views of our campsite a perfect place to stay while enjoying all the great events happening in Devon this summer.
