Easter Dinosaur Egg Hunt – 30th March to Sunday 28th April
The Dinos at Torquay’s Dinosaur World need your help, someone is stealing their eggs! Can you solve the clues and return the eggs to their rightful homes? If you can, you’re sure to be handsomely rewarded. Successful paleontological researchers will receive an Easter Edition Dinosaur Expert Certificate, a selection of 160-million year old fossils and of course, a chocolatey treat.
If you’re after even more dino-swag, then you’re in luck. Take part in the Easter Card competition and win a Dinosaur World t-shirt and Dinosaur Goodie Bag filled with toys, models and fossils.
Eggstreme Easter at Woodlands – 6th to 22nd April
This Easter sees Devon’s largest family theme park dive headfirst into Easter celebrations once again. Featuring the UK’s favourite Easter Grotto, families will have a chance to explore the magical underground world of the Easter Bunny, including his kitchen, and even meet the “Chairman of Chocolate” himself for a photo opportunity.
Once the little ones have received their treats and you’ve returned to the surface, be sure to check out all the great rides, slides and attractions the rest of the park has to offer. While you’re out and about, be sure to look out for special Easter tokens hidden around the park that can be redeemed for an extra chocolate surprise!
Easter Family Fun at Torquay Museum – 7th to 20th April
The Torquay Museum is pleased to welcome the Pocket Watch Theatre company over the Easter month to perform two fun-packed and family-friendly shows. The company are kicking off their residency with “A Millennium of Monarchs”, where they’ll be exploring nearly 1,000 years of the monarch. That’s 45 Kings and Queens in 45 rip-roaring minutes, bringing history alive in a way the whole family can enjoy.
They’ll follow this up with “The Essence of Eggs”, a show that promises to be a cracking good time! Join Professor Al Bumen and Dr Michelle Crack’d for this family-friendly and interactive performance all about eggs. Tickets tend to sell out fast, so advanced booking is essential.
Easter Weekend at Pennywell Farm – 19th to 22nd April
Pennywell Farm is adding some special extras to their already bustling timetable of fun this Easter. Arrive early on Good Friday for a free hot cross bun with your morning hot chocolate, tea or cup of coffee. Win Easter treats with a special Easter-themed quiz and enjoy two performances from top family musician and entertainer, Poco Drom. Over the rest of the weekend, you can pay a visit to the farm’s adorable baby animals and discover hidden chocolate treats in special Easter activities and chocolate egg hunts.
